HomeArt Journey Walking Tour
The Itinerary
Starting out, we head to Piazza di Spagna to admire the Spanish Steps at Trinità dei Monti. After a brief pause at the Fontana della Barcaccia, we continue along the elegant shopping streets to the Church of San Luigi dei Francesi, home to three famous paintings by Caravaggio, including The Calling of Saint Matthew. This intimate setting offers a rare chance to appreciate the artist’s work up close.
We then walk to Piazza Navona, one of Rome’s most iconic squares, originally built over the ancient Stadium of Domitian. From here, we head to the Pantheon, a two-thousand-year-old temple that epitomizes Rome’s greatness. A coffee break at one of the area’s historic cafes is highly recommended.
Continuing on, we reach the renowned Trevi Fountain, a Baroque masterpiece and a true symbol of Rome, fed by the ancient Acqua Vergine aqueduct, which still functions today. The majestic statue of Oceanus, surrounded by cascading water and sculpted stone, makes this an unforgettable stop.
Our tour concludes at the Quirinal Palace, located atop the Quirinal Hill, one of Rome’s legendary seven hills. Now the residence of Italy’s President, the Quirinal was once home to popes and kings, representing a fascinating slice of the city’s history.
After this evocative tour, we return to the hotel with the memory of a unique journey through the timeless beauty of the Eternal City.
